Jenny Cox
Jenny Cox is a freelance writer and poet living in the foothills of Sliabh na mBan in County Tipperary. Inspired by human interactions and the natural world around her, Jenny released her debut poetry collection 'a life to be lived' in February 2023 to much acclaim.
As well as being a prolific writer, Jenny has worked creatively with the Tudor Artisan Hub, the Clonmel Applefest, South Tipperary Action Network, Suaimhneas sna Coillte, Tipperary Bealtaine and Clonmel Junction Arts Festivals developing a range of projects including live spoken word events, poetry galleries / trails, writing workshops and curating poetry booklets. She currently facilitates Word Sparks at the South Tipperary Arts Centre, a series of free-flow writing sessions designed to engage writers with varied and thought-provoking works of art to spark writing ideas.
Jenny has enjoyed learning from and writing with Irene Graham, Anne Tannam, Lemn Sissay, Alex Wharton, Michael Rosen, Mark Granier, Margaret Galvin, Margaret O'Brien, Julie Snair and Jan Haag. She recently completed an online Writing Poetry course with the Dept for Continuing Education, University of Oxford and looks forward to pursuing further studies in the future.
